Public high school students build their ninth Habitat for Humanity house. This project is used as the focal point for the integration of senior year English, United States Government/Economics, and Technology Education. The program is not a vocational program to train carpenters but our attempt to change the public high school by creating a small learning community.
The garage siding was started and the sheathing on the roof was finished. The back porch trusses were cut apart and fixed on our truss day by the females and the entire back porch roof is now theirs to build.
